Television / Recordings / Film
Invited in 1982 by the British Film Institute to reconstruct the original score of Shostakovich's music first complete version of the silent film, 'New Babylon'. Conducted the first performance in the west at Queen Elizabeth Hall, followed by performances at New York Festival, San Francisco Film Festival, Helsinki Festival, and Flanders Festival. Tours were later repeated in Holland and United Kingdom.
Numerous television appearances with National Symphony of South Africa, Cape Town Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Nacional do Porto, and Ulster Orchestra (Stravinsky's - Petrushka)
Recordings: New Babylon, BBC TV's "Arena Special." Numerous studio recordings, ABC.
Several CD's for Polygram/ABC Records and Clermont Records of works by Beethoven, Respighi, South Africa's Arnold Van Wyk (complete symphonic works), Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Paganini. Bartok and Szymanowsky. Malcolm Williamson and Jeanne Zaidel-Rudolph.
Future recordings include an album of three CD's of Matutini dei Morti by J. Domingos Bomtempo.
